Yeah, I'm looking forward to it. It's a big bonding day for me and 8 and 4 year old sons; comic books, car show in the park and maybe a parade and lunch. The term "racist" is over-used (it now means anyone who is not an Obama Zombie), but it is probably justified in describing some ancient astronauts theorists. Some people just refuse to believe that Native Americans or Africans could build anything more complicated than a pup tent. L. Sprague De Camp's book The Ancient Engineers offers reasonable explanations for how ancient people could have built the pyramids (and without help from aliens).

Originally, Wonder Girl was supposed to be Wonder Woman when she was younger, like Superboy was "the adventures of Superman when he was a boy." They later had to revise that. They had Wonder Girl in the Teen Titans, which took place at the same time as Wonder Woman. I'm sure they came up with some convoluted retcon to explain it, but I'm too lazy to look it up. And I think they wiped out the original Superboy and replaced him with a clone made from Superman's DNA. Or something.

DC Comics also had a male (and non-Martian) Manhunter in a comic in the 1940's, and an updated version of that same character in Detective Comics in the 1970's. There was also a TV show sometime around 1974-75 called Manhunter. It starred Ken Howard as a private detective/bounty hunter in the 1930's. Also at least two books with that title. One an autobiography of a deputy US marshal, the other a biography of Texas Ranger Frank Hamer. It scares me no end that I actually recall all this stuff.

Sigh! I've done this myself a couple of times. Usually it's because the comic book store I order comics hasn't got a copy of the book it's meant to put aside for me. So I get it elsewhere, only for my regular supplier to find a copy for me a couple of weeks later. I'm never assertive enough to tell them I've already got it somewhere else. Perhaps this happened with your fella.
